Pearlescent Pigments with 12 Iridescent Colors $30.00 These are the pigments used by professional wildlife artist to achieve that soft, natural iridescent look found in nature. Our iridescent powders will not tarnish or discolor and should not be confused with the less expensive grades of pigments which rub-on or are colorless until mixed with paint .These iridescent pigments can be used to achieve multiple color effect and can show different colors when viewed at different angles. For example, if a small amount of green is added to violet, the resulting color would look green from one angle and violet when viewed from another angle. This closely simulated the natural iridescent appearance found in many varieties of birds, fish and waterfowl. Our iridescent powders are compatible with both acrylic and oil based paints and may also be used with an airbrush. Only a small amount of power is needed to achieve the desired natural appearance and the kit should last the normal carver for many years.
